Let’s start 2026 by showing up for our neighbors. Join the Iredell County Democrats in a seven-week community service effort focused on meeting real needs right here at home.
Beginning the week of January 5, we’ll participate in themed service weeks across North Carolina, supporting neighbors experiencing homelessness, helping children and families in foster care, strengthening food support, caring for seniors, assisting local animal shelters, honoring first responders and veterans, and protecting our environment.
Our community is feeling the strain, and now is the time to act. Whether you can volunteer one week or all seven, your help matters. Get involved, lend a hand, and be part of a statewide effort to serve with compassion and purpose.
Week 1 of 7 Weeks of Giving is here!
January 5–11, we’re showing up for our neighbors experiencing a lack of housing by creating blessing bags to support FeedNC.
How to help:
Please place items in one gallon-sized ziploc bag (we ask that each bag include every item on the list):
1 toothbrush
1 full-sized toothpaste
1 full-sized deodorant
1 bar of soap
1 full-sized shampoo (not travel size, must fit in bag)
1 full-sized conditioner (not travel size, must fit in bag)
1 travel-sized pack of tissues
1 personal note of encouragement
Check your email or DM us for drop-off locations.
Every bag is a reminder that someone cares—and that community matters. Let’s do this together.
